Transit service adjusted for two-day observance of Independence Day

Metro Transit bus routes will be operating on a Sunday schedule both Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5 for Independence Day.

The holiday schedule means many commuter bus routes will not be in service on July 5. Bus riders should be sure to check the schedule for their individual routes in advance of the long holiday weekend. Sunday fares are in effect on all Metro routes on both Sunday and Monday.

The King County Water Taxi between downtown Seattle and West Seattle will operate with a Sunday schedule on July 4, and with a regular weekday schedule on July 5.  Extended sailings are planned for Monday evening to accommodate baseball fans attending the Mariners night game. The free Water Taxi shuttles – Routes 773 and 775 – will operate with a Sunday schedule July 4 and a weekday schedule on July 5.

The water taxi between Vashon Island and downtown Seattle does not operate on weekends or on Monday, July 5. More water taxi information is available online.

All Metro offices, including the Customer Information phone lines, will be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of the holiday. When the Customer Information Office is closed, most transit information is available on Metro Online, or in the online Trip Planner.
