Vehicle auctions

Next vehicle auction: Fall, October 4, 2014

King County holds two auto and heavy equipment auctions each year, on Saturday—one in spring and one in fall. The auctions are open to the general public as well as all government employees.

Previews are held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Thursday and Friday before the auction, and from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the day of the auction. Bidding starts around 9 a.m.

Payment and terms

There are no buyer’s premiums or registration or service fees at these auctions—only Washington State sales tax and/or titled vehicle sales tax when applicable.

Payment must be made in the form of cash or cashiers checks. If a bidder is unable to make full payment on the day of auction, the county requires a promissory note. Please see General Terms for more information.

From the North: On I-405, take Exit 4 to N Third and turn left (east) up hill 8/10 mile, then turn right on Jefferson Street.
