Helpful things to consider as you plan to adopt a pet (PDF)

Adoption fees

Cats (six months or older) NO FEE
Kittens (younger than six months) $100
Dogs/Puppies $100 to $250
Rabbits, Pocket Pets, Birds Varies by species

The adoption fee includes:

  • King County pet license (if applicable)
  • Microchipping (for cats and dogs)
  • Spay/neuter surgery
  • Coupon for Hill's Science Diet (external link) pet food
  • Vaccinations (including rabies if pet is over four months old)
  • Veterinary health exam
  • Collar
  • Carrier (for cats)
  • Leash (for dogs)
  • Cats have tested negative for feline leukemia (FeLV)
