DCHS citizen boards
The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) places the highest value on the input and assistance of the consumers, family members, and citizens who volunteer to serve on our ten citizen advisory boards.
Each of these boards plays a vital role in the development of programs, policies, services, funding, and legislative advocacy in a variety of human service areas. Board calendars and meeting summaries are available on each of the DCHS Board web sites listed at right.
The boards seek members that mirror the county's diverse makeup with regard to age, gender, ethnic and cultural perspectives, and countywide representation. Several of the boards also have unique recruitment needs or requirements spelled out within their bylaws.
If you would like to have a voice in shaping human services, now and in the future, please consider volunteering! Information on how to volunteer is available for each of the DCHS Boards listed at right or download our brochure here.
