Lake Lucerne is located in Maple Valley, Washington. The lake is 16 acres in size with a mean depth of 18 feet; and with a maximum depth 37 feet. The watershed is 403 acres in size and includes drainage from adjacent Pipe Lake. Pipe Lake is partially located in both Covington and Maple Valley, Washington. The lake is 52 acres in size with a mean depth of 27 feet; and with a maximum depth 65 feet. The watershed is 314 acres in size and drains to Lake Lucerne.
The King County Department of Natural Resources, together with the Cities of Maple Valley and Covington, continue with a multi-year effort to eradicate Hydrilla verticillata (Hydrilla) from lakes Lucerne and Pipe (located formerly within unincorporated King County and within the cities since 1998).
