Agriculture Commission

This committee represents the diversity of the King County agricultural economy, discusses needs and policy and makes recommendations to staff, the County Executive and County Council.

Conservation Futures Advisory Committee

The Committee reviews Conservation Futures applications proposing funding for parks and open spaces and makes recommendations to the King County Executive and King County Council.

Cedar River Council

The Cedar River Council is an independent, public-private body that promotes the health of the Cedar River Basin, focusing on lower basin issues. King County contributes staff support to the Council.

Metropolitan Water Pollution Abatement Advisory Committee

The Metropolitan Water Pollution Abatement Advisory Committee, or MWPAAC, advises the Metropolitan King County Council and the King County Executive on matters related to water pollution abatement.

Noxious Weed Control Board

Sets county weed control priorities, adopts the county weed list, and administers the Noxious Weed Control Program.

Rural Forest Commission

Advisory group representing the diversity of rural forestry interests and geographic regions of rural King County.

Solid waste advisory committees

Two solid waste advisory committees advise the County Executive and County Council on solid waste and recycling issues. They also assist county staff in developing plans, programs, and policies.
