Domestic partner coverage changesEffective Jan. 1, 2018, King County no longer offers employee benefits to unmarried partners and their children unless a state-registered domestic partnership has been established. Married same-sex couples are now eligible for the same benefits and tax advantages as other married couples. Notification letters were mailed to impacted employees. More information:
