Proper Disposal of Prescription Drugs

Dan Satterberg and Sheriff Sue Rahr worked together to get the word out about how to properly dispose of prescription drugs.   The safe way to dispose of unused prescription medications is to combine the unused pills with coffee grounds or kitty litter in a plastic bag and toss them in the garbage.  It is harmful to marine life to flush unused medications down the toilet.  It is important to dispose of unused prescription medication because the home medicine cabinet is so accessible to children of all ages.  To listen to Dan and the Sheriff's public service announcement, please click here.
