    Speech followed the first 100 days in office


    Marking the end of his first 100 days in office, King County Executive Dow Constantine outlined his agenda for reform. The Executive addressed members of the Metropolitan King County Council and other separately-elected officials at a meeting of the Council and will deliver additional speeches throughout the County this week.

    Where does your property tax dollar go?

    Homeowners in King County who pay their property taxes themselves rather than through a mortgage lender are starting to receive their 2010 statements in the mail. While the check you send may be addressed to "King County", the County receives only 17 cents of every property tax dollar.
